My Name is Sarah Yenkevich and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. My License number is I.1700238-SUPV. I am the owner of Sun Counseling Services. I currently provide online therapy for all residents of Ohio over the age of 18 years old. I graduated with my master's degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2013. I specialize in treating individuals who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and a mindfulness approach. My services are offered through a secure HIPAA compliant video platform.
I named my therapy practice Sun Counseling Services for several reasons. The sun is a symbol of happiness, life, strength and balance. It is the center of our universe and rises everyday. It reminds me of humans and the struggles we face daily. We are resilient and even through the darkest nights we will rise again, and so does the sun. Everyday we rise is a chance to change our lives and one thing that has changed my life is my German Shepard Dog, Samson. He has showed me true unconditional love and has changed my life. Samson is derived from the Hebrew word "semes" which means Sun. So I wanted to honor him and the life he has given me and name my practice after him.
